In "Nietzsche and Philosophy," Gilles Deleuze interprets Nietzsche's Übermensch as the creator (or at least the inspiration for human creativity,) rather than as a wishful replacement for the dying old God of the west. The production of difference, the telos of the "eternal return," inaugurates the new becoming and obsolesces the "last man." I could go on, but you get the idea. You've basically hit on a lot of stuff in this brilliant essay and you've done it from a fresh direction. Great work.
